I was born in Budapest as the grandson of the excellent Jewish statistical mathematician József Kőrösy and the son of medical professor Kornél Kőrösy. As a chemist, I am the deviser of the practice of membrane filtering; I also specialised in filtering and decreasing the salt content of waters with high salinity levels. I am the extranal member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
